<div>Hi friends,
</div>
<div>I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and deep humility to ask for your help.
</div>
<div>What began as a sudden health scare in Los Angeles has spiraled into a series of medical events that have left me physically sidelined, emotionally shaken, and financially overwhelmed.
</div>
<div>About a month ago, a friend rushed me to Cedars-Sinai in LA after I showed signs of what they feared was a stroke. I was admitted immediately, and over the next several days, I underwent every test imaginable. The doctors believed I’d suffered a silent stroke. I was released a few days later to rest, still dizzy, weak, and mentally foggy, before returning home to Austin a week later.
</div>
<div>Back in Austin, I was starting to feel just slightly better when an accident changed everything. While preparing to sit on my apartment's balcony, my metal lounge chair suddenly collapsed. I fell backwards, slamming my head violently into the metal railing. I blacked out. It took 10 minutes before I could even move.
</div>
<div>Ten days later, during a unrelated hospital visit to St. David’s downtown, while running tests, doctors discovered something alarming: I had fractured my spine in two places. They immediately placed me in a neck brace and transferred me by ambulance to St. David’s Trauma Center on Ben White. I’m still here today, undergoing repeat scans, treatment, and monitoring.
</div>
<div>The road ahead will be long. I’m facing months of healing and rehabilitation. I won’t be able to return to work for some time, and the work I was relying on for income are now out of reach. Meanwhile, medical bills, and expenses continue to pile up.
</div>
<div>Asking for help is not easy. But I’m in a place where I truly need support. I’m humbly asking for a lifeline — help to cover medical expenses, basic living costs, and to carry me through until I can get back on my feet, physically.
</div>
<div>If you're able to contribute or even just share this with others, I would be deeply grateful. Every bit of support, no matter the size, will make a real difference.
</div>
<div>With love, hope, and gratitude,
</div>
<div>Jay
