Help Jay Kick Cancer's Butt!!

Donation protected
Hi, I am Jason Blackwell's wife.
A little bit about my Husband.
Jason is 48 years young.
He loves with his whole heart and loves to laugh.
We fell in love in 2000 and were married in 2006.
We have 5 Children, 5 Grandchildren and a Dog.
Jason has fought and won many personal battles in his life, but none of them prepared him for this.

October of 2017 my husband Jason was diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma.
He had a six inch mass in the side of his neck that included muscle, the nerve that controls his left arm, and a cluster of lymph nodes.

November 8, 2017
Dr. Hudson did the surgery to remove the Cancer.
Jason was prescribed "Opdivo drip" Chemotherapy every two weeks for a year.
That's when the real fight started...
They do not know where the Melanoma came in at.
Jason has to get at least 6 moles biopsied a month. He is like one big chocolate chip cookie with extra chocolate chips! That is why the Chemo is so important.
We cannot give the cancer a chance to grow back!
They have had to halt treatment a few times this year due to complications.
We have had to take a few runs to the Emergency room. Once they had to stop his heart and restart it to get it back into rhythm.
We have been to UCSF for a second opinion. The Dr. at UCSF wanted to give Jason treatment once a month at double the dose...
His Oncologist here at home said he is not willing to take that chance and is trying to keep the every two weeks schedule for treatment.
Jason has tried to continue to work but he had to miss a lot of days because of the affects of treatment.
If it were not for the Grace of God, the love of our family, friends and church, Jason would not have been able to get treatment this past year.
In July of this year Jason's PET Scan came back clean.

Something is happening to my strong loving husband and I can't fix it!
Jason's appetite has been nonexistent for the past five weeks.
He has lost 25 lbs and his strength is plummeting.
He has been trying to go to work but it is killing him.
He is a heavy machine operator in a printing warehouse.
His body cannot handle working and treatment at the same time.
We found out that Jason has a swollen lymph node in his chest.
We are waiting for authorization from our Insurance for another PET scan to rule out more cancer.
He is talking about stopping treatment so he can work. Shouldn't it be the other way around?!
We checked into SS Disability and they told us that Jason has to be unemployed for Six months before he is eligible for disability, and that doesn't include the processing time. He would not be eligible for medical for 24 months after being approved for SSD.
We live paycheck to paycheck and try not to live beyond our means.
I am working part time and trying to take care of as much as I can.
We would not be able to rent a place for what our monthly mortgage is otherwise we would sell our home.
We will lose our home and health insurance if Jason has to stop working right now.
Your donations will be used for medical bills and let Jason take recovery time off after treatment also helping to keep our home.
I know he would have a better chance at winning this battle if he were able to stay home and heal.
Please help me to save my husband.
Thank you for taking your time to read our unfinished story.

Loving Prayers of gratitude,

Julia Blackwell
