<div>Let me tell you about my beautiful wife! Jay has been a dedicated member of the Vancouver music scene since the 90’s. She has always valued providing her fellow musicians with affordable access to recording, mixing, and mastering. She started transitioning a year ago, and although it has been incredibly affirming it has also been utterly financially draining. We have never had much money but have always managed to scrape by freelancing in the arts. Sadly this has become less and less sustainable over the last few years.

<div>Jay has spent more than $8K of her own limited resources so far and will need to pay about $90k more for gender affirming care before the end of this year. Everything we raise here will fund Jay’s FFS (Facial Feminization Surgery: $83K), our travel and accommodation costs for the trip to Toronto in November (Did you know: only 2 surgeons officially perform FFS in Canada! One in Montreal and one in Toronto), laser hair removal, voice training, and medication. Unfortunately, none of this is covered by MSP.
