Hi, my name is Irma and I’m starting a GoFundMe for my son, Jason Fontilla Mendoza. He is 56 years old with a wife, 6 kids, and grandchildren.

He has been hospitalized for almost 3 weeks in a public hospital in the Philippines because he had difficulty breathing and edema. After a few tests, they found out that a vein or artery near his heart swelled up and needs surgery. If this bursts, he will have internal hemorrhage and he can die. He signed a waiver that he doesn't want to go into surgery because he's scared and besides, he doesn’t have money for the surgery that costs too much. In the Philippines, all health care is paid out of pocket.
