My name is Jaramhe Jayne and I’m looking for help with my mom who is suffering from the disease ALS. She has been inflicted with this disease for 4 years and it’s been emotionally and physically devastating to her health and well being, causing her to be immobilized, except for small movements like lifting a pencil or turning her neck, in which, proves to be an arduous task. She has recently moved to Oregon to live with family that help her with daily necessities and is seeking medical help from the programs that the state has to offer. Her loving family has moved her in with them, although, with limited space available, she had to move in to the garage with her caregiver, who is also her daughter, as well as, my sister. As the days grow long, and the nights grow longer, she is unable to rest comfortably and get adequate sleep and comforts living day after day in a garage that has no window or door that makes a space homely. The family has been working hard on accommodating her needs and making sure that she has support from the large family living under one roof, although, such a disease is financially binding and doesn’t allow her to have the opportunity to turn the space in the garage into a home. If you can find it in your heart to put money into helping provide creature comforts for her living condition and help her to live comfortably with her family by giving her a little privacy and space to live and sleep in with the addition of privacy/partition walls to help with the transition from a garage to her very own dormitory for her and her caregiver. She has very little and thanks to some kind hearted people that donated to helping keep her cat, Prince, and covering travel expenses to move in with her caring family, she does have something, but, can you imagine this hereditary disease blindsiding a happy and capable mother into an invalid with no chance of getting well, not able to afford to live life without worry of imminent death during an early age in life. It’s wreaking havoc on her health more as the disease continues to progress and we are all not prepared with losing her. In the meantime, I am asking for help with making her stay in Oregon a more comfortable place and home for her while she endures the medical fields that are in place to study and continue to learn about her condition. The disease of ALS has no cure, and doesn’t stop getting worse until a go fund me is necessary for funeral expenses. I love my mother very much and need your help in this difficult time.
