Help Janice Recover from Transplant

Donation protected

My sister Janice has battled Diabetes since she was 19 years old. Her journey took a turn for the worse in 1993 when a doctor recommended a medication for her that a diabetic should not take. This caused her to lose much of her kidney function and put her into a comma for two weeks. This lack of kidney function ultimately led her to become dependent upon dialysis. Although her kidney function was almost gone and her pancreas was not producing much insulin, there was hope rising on the horizon. One month ago she was finally placed at the very top of the transplant list in San Diego. In the early morning of Good Friday,  March 30th, she not only received a kidney to replace her failing one, but she also received a pancreas that will completely remove her dependency on insulin injections. Now that the surgery is over, Janice and her husband Tim need to stay in a hotel close to the hospital for one month. This is a heavy financial burden. Additionally, she cannot be left alone while Tim is at work during the day, and it would be nice if they could afford to hire someone to come and care for her, since family is so far away. Any financial support during this time would be greatly appreciated.
