This is Janes story,
I was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, astrocytoma glioma in Oct. 2010. Had Brain Surgery Dec. 2010 to remove tumor.I haven't worked since Sept. 2003 due to severe epilepsy, multiple seizures a day even when I was on meds. Seizure free since 2010 surgery and off of all seizure meds for 2 years until I had a grand mal seizure from the chemo for liver cancer in Sept 2017.
Sept. 2016 I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. A very aggressive type of cancer and very resistant to treatment. I had a lumpectomy and started chemo November of 2016. I had 5 months of chemo and 33 rounds of radiation which I finished June 30, 2017. In Sept of 2017 the breast cancer had metastasized to stage 4 liver cancer. Once again on chemo and currently receiving chemo.
During my treatment for breast cancer in December of 2016, my husband was diagnosed with atrial fib and had open heart surgery for a leaky mitral valve. 58 years old.He was off of work for 2 months. We pay for part of our insurance which comes directly out of my husband's check. With the high cost of deductibles and the constant medical treatments, it is getting very hard to make ends meet. My husband is thinking about getting a second job to to be able to pay the bills. I am terminal and need him home with me in the evenings plus there will be a time when he will have to be a full time care giver when I am in hospice. It is also not good for his heart to be working 2 jobs. He does occasionally experience atrial flutter.
Jane is terminal, any amount would help them spend the rest of her time here together. She is hoping to make it to the spring when her daughter gets married.
