<div>Hi all -
</div>
<div>In a crazy flash flood on Tuesday, some people near and dear to our community's heart, suffered a devastating loss. With grit &amp; joy, they are working to get back on track. However, they need our help. Here is what Jan &amp; Jon posted on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/crockerandspringer" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">their company's facebook page</a> :

<div><em>"Dearest Friends,</em>
</div>
<div><em>On Tuesday, July 16th, our studio was hit by a devastating flash flood. Jon and I are fine, as are our two studio cats. Tragically, however, two people lost their lives just down the road from us. Our usually peaceful valley has been shaken.</em>
</div>
<div><em>Needless to say, our production has screeched to a halt. We had 3 feet of water inside our building. It came up so quickly that we were actually trapped inside. We lost so much, including many of the unfired pots which were to go into our kiln this weekend. We also lost countless tools and equipment outside, which were either submerged or swept away in the dangerous current. Even our 500-gallon propane tank was carried off in the fast-moving water. Jon had moved our cars and trailers to the highest point on our property, but they all went under anyway. Everything inside and out is covered in a thick layer of mud. </em>
</div>
<div><em>Sadly, we will not be able to make it to The Artisans Tent at the Zoar Harvest Festival on July 27th and 28th. Our hearts are heavy as we assess the damage and form an attack plan for the daunting cleanup. </em>
</div>
<div><em>We so appreciate the love and support that all of you in our Facebook Community give us continually. We will keep you posted on our progress. We're sorry we won't see you in Zoar this year. I won't be able to respond right away to any messages that you might post here, but please know how appreciated they are! We love you all!</em>

<div>What friends of Jan &amp; Jon are hoping to do is raise enough money to get them back on their feet. Locally we will also have a meal train &amp; cleaning parties as much as they'll let us. :)

<div>As a member of Elsah, a member of Principia, a member of the art world, or simply someone with a little something to share, we hope you will do so knowing how much Jan &amp; Jon give so freely to others.
