My name is Jamie Hobbs, and I teach high school ESL (English as a second language). I am taking my students on a field trip next month to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. This opportunity will allow my students to learn about art from around the world and make connections to their lives. It will also allow ample opportunity to practice acquiring the English language by speaking about the art, listening to people talk about the art, reading about the art and writing about the art.

I have created this fundraiser because I want to buy my students pizza, snacks and water for lunch while we are on our field trip. I just want to do something special for them to close out the year, and pizza is a lot more fun than the school sack lunches. I am trying to raise $200 to afford the items for our lunch.
