I'm writing this on behalf of my brother, Jamie, who was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma, an incurable but treatable form of blood cancer. As a result of the cancer, a spinal fusion was needed to repair and stabilize his back. With an intensive treatment plan, which includes chemotherapy and radiation treatments, the diagnosis has changed everything for him and his family, and they now face a long road ahead physically, emotionally, and financially.
Jamie is self-employed and has worked hard for years as a truck driver doing everything he can to support his wife Kelly and their family. He’s always been someone who shows up for others, whether it’s helping out a neighbor, taking on extra work to support his family, or being there when you need him.
Because he’s self-employed, he doesn’t have access to paid time off through an employer. Now that he’s in treatment and recovering from surgery, he is unable to work, and the bills for medical care, travel for treatments, and basic living expenses are adding up.
We’re asking for help to relieve some of that financial pressure so he and his family can focus on what’s most important: his health.
Your donation will help with:
• Medical bills and treatment costs
• Daily living expenses while he’s unable to work
• Travel to appointments and specialist visits
• Supporting his family through this difficult time
Anything you can give, even a small amount, would make a big difference. And if you can’t donate right now, please consider sharing this page with others and keep Jamie in your prayers.
Thank you so much for your support. It means more than we can say.
