Help Jamie Fight Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer

Donation protected
Friends, family, and anyone reading this, it is with the heaviest of hearts that we have to annouce James Dillon  was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer with mets to lungs about 6 weeks ago. Since the initial diagnosis, life has been a crazy whirlwind for the Dillon family. Anyone who has been touched by cancer before knows just how difficult life becomes once you hear the initial diagnosis from the Doctor.

Anyone that knows Jamie, knows he is the kind of man that would do anything for his family, friends,  loved ones, and even complete strangers. He is a father of five and an all around wonderful human being. This news comes as a complete devastation to his family and everyone around him. Unfortunately with this type of aggressive cancer, he has had to immediately begin a very aggressive chemotherapy treatment regimen which means he will be out of work indefinitely.

The Dillon's are not the type to ask for help, so friends have decided to start a fundraising campaign on their behalf to help alleviate some of the financial burden of this disease. This will allow them to focus more on his treatment and recovery. Medical expenses, life expenses, and unexpected expenses add up far too quickly. Any amount you are able to donate will help way beyond what you would imagine. If you are unable to donate at this time, even a simple "share" of the post will help spread his story. The generosity and kindness people have already showed their family is overwhelming. The Dillon's are beyond thankful for anything you are able to contribute whether it be money, words of sentiment and prayers, or spreading his story for others to help out. Below is a message from his wife Jamie when she shared the story of his recent diagnosis. Friends and family will update on his progress as much as they are able. Again, please know, they are so grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for your ongoing support through out this difficult time. Here is Jamie's message to all:

I have started many posts but stopped because I just didn't know what to say. I have learned quickly that there's really no good way to share bad news so here goes.

After a crazy month, Jamie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer which has metastasized to his lungs. He started an aggressive chemo infusion treatment plan consisting of 4 chemo drugs last week.

I have had to share this news with so many people and I just can't do it anymore.  I apologize for those of you that are finding out via FB but I am mentally exhausted. Every time I have to talk about this with someone new it makes it that much more real and I just need a mental break from that.

It has been incredibly hard for me to process. I don't think I will ever be able to fully express the pain I feel every day in my heart or the constant anxiety that weighs heavily on me. Before you ask, yes - our little ones know and yes it was heartbreaking to tell them but in a way it was even more heartbreaking having to tell the older kids since they understand the seriousness of the situation.

Please keep us all (but especially him) in your thoughts and prayers <3
