He is on the transplant lists at both UAB in Birmingham and Ochsner in New Orleans, waiting for the call that could change everything. When that call comes, he will need to relocate quickly to one of these cities for his transplant and recovery. This means finding short-term housing near the hospital, which can be a significant financial burden on top of the stress and uncertainty of waiting for a transplant.
