<div>Life can change in the blink of an eye and our dear friends James and Claire are currently experiencing that firsthand. We, a group of friends and family, are rallying together to provide financial assistance to our incredible friend James Taylor and his beautiful family Claire, Charlie &amp; Lila as they navigate through a heart-wrenching and life-altering experience.

<div>In early December, James was admitted to Grand River Hospital with severe back pain. What initially seemed like ongoing pain and complications from an old injury took a devastating turn when James received the diagnosis of a rare form of nerve cancer. This news blindsided and shattered James and Claire. After multiple consultations with numerous doctors at different hospitals, a glimmer of hope emerged when they met with a doctor at Princess Margaret Hospital. This doctor is the only doctor in Canada specializing in this rare cancer, and was able to provide James and Claire the hope they desperately need.

<div>James has undergone three major surgeries to remove tumours and repair cancerous damage to his from his spine, hip and arm. He is now attacking the cancer through a specialized medicine that is being funded by the study he is now part of through his team of doctors. He will need to take this medication for the rest of his life to keep the cancer at bay.

<div>After four months in various hospitals, James is now at Freeport for rehabilitation to learn to walk again. The wonderful part about this part of his journey is that there is now a chance for James to finally come home to his family that he has so desperately missed. In order for James to come home, there are many modifications that are needed and each plays a crucial role in helping James to regain his independence and live comfortably at home once again. This approach ensures that James not only comes home but, also thrives in his familiar and supportive environment surrounded by loved ones.

<div>It has been over 120 days since James has been home. For four months the kids have been missing their Dad, while Claire juggles normalcy for them along with being a pillar of strength for James. It has been months of sheer exhaustion.

<div>Cancer is relentless, both emotionally and financially. As many of us deeply love and care for this family, we are coming together to show our support and alleviate some of the stress so the Taylor family can focus on what truly matters: healing and being together.
