<div>Hello and thank you for coming to my page. My name is James Scales, also known as Billy. I have swallowed my pride and have taken this opportunity to make this GoFundMe and ask for any type of help that anyone is willing to give me, I am a 46 year old man who is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and uses the aid of crutches due to mobility issues that have arisen due to the disease. I have finally decided to make this after almost a year of trying to get things done on my own accord. My father passed away in August of last year leaving me alone in a very large house that is in need of many repairs that i myself am not capable of doing on my own. I really need help. From the rotting floor in the kitchen to the exposed electrical in many spots as well as the cabinetry that is separating from the walls. I also have a leak in the plumbing. the leak is somewhere under the house as it is elevated. I don't have the funds nor the ability to get things done. My father was also a hoarder. I have almost 3100 square feet of junk that needs to be sold or removed as well. The house was stuffed to the gills at one point. I have had some help, but that help was short lived and mostly done out of people wanting to get their hands on some of the things that they wanted. After getting the things they wanted, they never returned to continue helping as they promised they would. After constant urging by people close to me, I have finally decided to swallow my pride and reach out for help. It is difficult for me to reach out and ask for help in any fashion- even if it mean asking complete strangers. As I stated before, I would gladly accept any help that anyone is willing to offer. I am on SSI, which is hardly enough for me to get the bills paid. I feed myself and handle all the other things that a person needs to make it from day to day on my own. Losing my father was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to deal with. He was my best friend, the one constant in my whole life, and simply a great man. The house I live in was also his childhood home. I would like to be able to bring the house back to life, so to speak. The house has been a haven for many family members at some point or another over the years. When times got rough this was always a place that family could come until they were able to get their life back on track. This house holds several generations of memories and has been one of the few constants over the years. Not only would the help alleviate many of the challenges that I face on a daily basis simply trying to live in the house in its current condition, but it would also mean the world to all us to be able to hold onto this family treasure.
