<div>Lucretia, his mother, was one of my best friends! We grew up together. She loved James with all of her heart. Outside of James father, he was her true love. She showered James with love. But that just didn’t last…

<div>When James was only 18, his mother tragically fell ill and died. The security James once had was taken away. Because he was already 18, he was left to learn how to survive alone.

<div>He found refuge in a non-denominational ministry that assisted him with food and housing. In some ways it was security, but he never learned to make it on his own.
</div>

<div>He recently left the ministry and decided to stop running from his fears. I’m so proud of him! He has a job, paying a little above minimum wage and even has applied for a low income assisted apt. For now he’s staying in temporary housing and this is why he needs help.

<div>He needs help with the security deposit, and some basic furniture. He has never lived in his own! Even though he’s a young adult now,  he’s just learning to be independent and stable. Any assistance would show him that “it’s ok to lean on others sometimes, as long as you’re trying to stand on your own.”
