<div>Hi, my name is Jess. I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but my family needs a little extra love right now.

<div>If you know my parents, James and Patty, you already know two things:

<div>	1.	They’ve been inseparable for 30-something years.

</div>

<div>	2.	They’ve been cracking each other up for just as long.

</div>

<div>Unfortunately, life decided to throw them both a couple of curveballs at the same time. My dad, James, has stage 4 kidney cancer. My mom, Patty, is facing early stage breast cancer. It’s like the universe said, “Let’s see how strong they really are.” (Spoiler alert: very.)

<div>Despite everything, they’re still the same hardworking, hilarious duo they’ve always been. My dad’s still working full time. My mom’s still running the household wrangling dogs, cats, chickens, and even turtles like some kind of multitasking superhero. My brother Daniel and I are doing what we can, and I’ll be moving back to Texas soon to help out.

<div>But as you can imagine, two cancer battles at once come with a lot of medical costs: treatments, medications, travel, and all the hidden expenses that don’t show up on the hospital bills.

</div>

<div>We’re asking for help to give them one thing they’ve always given to everyone else: support, love, and a fighting chance. Every donation, big or small helps lighten the load and keeps them focused on healing (and cracking jokes in their treatment chairs).
