<div>Meet my big brother James - he is the one here in the photo. He doesn’t know it, but he is the center of our family, and we need him so much. Those little ones in the photo are his babies - he is definitely the best dad and loves them to Mars and back. Most people say the moon, but that isn’t far enough. I’m Jennifer, his little sister, and I’m here next to him where I plan to be throughout this fight with cancer.

<div>James is a guy who doesn’t ask for things - when something needs to be done, he does it. When someone needs help, he is the guy that says, “where and when?”. My brother has a heart for all living beings, but especially dogs. He is the director of a dog rescue that not only saves hundreds of dogs each year from kill shelters, he also works with other rescue groups to deliver dogs to their new homes almost anywhere - I heard him say they have delivered almost 10,000 dogs! His heart is so big that he thinks this is no big deal.

<div>Last week, I spent time with James, who I call Bubba - we visited MD Anderson Cancer Center where he learned that he has stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Last week, we were told he had a tumor in his throat and larynx, and he also had metastatic activity in his lymph nodes. Yesterday, we learned that this disease is now attached to his heart and lungs. <strong>He has a long and hard battle, and he needs help.</strong>

<div><strong>Please help me to give my brother some peace of mind when it comes to finances.</strong> In the last week, he has had travel and medical expenses that are extreme, and this is just the first week. His doctors say he will have to move to Houston, TX for at least a few months to receive testing and treatment. This means he cannot work, but his household and children will continue to need all of the funds necessary to support their lives while Bubba will need money for copays, living expenses, travel, and many other things we are sure will come to light.

<div>Last week James went back to Houston for a scan and to prepare to begin his chemo and radiation. During a routine CT scan a new development was found - we are so happy to say that today we got results
</div>
<div>from that surgery and that particular growth is not cancer!! A miracle!
</div>

<div>James is in good spirits and enjoyed a weekend with his kids - they were all very happy to be reunited for the time - he goes back tomorrow for the hard work.
</div>
