Jake and I have been through so much together. I got Jake when I was 19 because I wanted to feel safe, and now, at 31, he has been my companion and protector for over a decade. He used to be the fastest one at the park, and now it breaks my heart to watch him struggle with severe pain in his back legs. He has a hard time walking and can no longer jump into the vehicle, so I have to lift all 80 pounds of him several times a day while I am also healing from a rotator cuff injury. We are living day to day, unsure of shelter and transportation, and the physical, emotional, and mental weight of it all has been overwhelming for both of us.

 I am asking for help so Jake can be comfortable, cared for, and able to rest in peace and dignity in his later years. Donations will help us find a safe place to stay, ease our transportation challenges, and get Jake the medical care, comfort, and support he needs, including things like his favorite CBD treats and a cushion for his hips. It would also give me the space to heal from trauma, take care of my own medical needs, and keep working toward my digital nomad journey and creative projects so I can build a more stable future for us both. I do not have family willing or able to help us, which is why I am reaching out to my chosen family and community for support.
