Help Jake & Millhouse secure a minivan! (UPDATED)

UPDATE // OCTOBER 10 -- Jake and Millhouse have a way out of this! A potential minivan! Please donate and help them cover the costs!!

Jake is an Eastern Kentucky-native, long-experienced campaigner, and freelance journalist. If you've paid any attention to Kentucky's media and political landscape since 2000, you're likely already familiar with his work. If not, you've seen or experienced the results of his work without realizing it, including coverage of scandal at Louisville Metro Animal Services, resulting in the passage of Sadie's Law, and his deep research into corruption in the Montgomery County Schools leading to the ouster of Kentucky's Commissioner of Education.

Now he needs our help. In 2022, he fled a dangerous, violent relationship and has been couch-surfing, relying on friends, and more for months. Jake is constantly seeking assistance (shelters are full), applying for jobs, and trying to find secure housing for himself and his adorable dog, Millhouse (pictured above).

Please pitch in and help him cover a month at a long-stay hotel while he continues to seek permanent housing. This is the best and most immediate housing option for Jake without requiring a lease.
