My name is Jakaliah, and I am reaching out for support as I try to build a stable foundation for myself and my soon-to-arrive newborn. Growing up in foster care, I never had a place to truly call home or experienced what a real family felt like. After years of uncertainty, I finally managed to get my first apartment, hoping to start a new chapter. Unfortunately, my job didn’t pay enough to cover all my expenses, and I fell behind. In a desperate attempt to catch up, I trusted someone who promised to help, but instead, they scammed me out of half the money I had left.
