Help Jaime finish his documentary!
My name is Jaime R. Torres. I'm a differently abled artist/community organizer residing in the Tri-Cities. Pasco to be exact. I've been documenting my journey on my podcast available on Facebook and YouTube under Brown Bearded & Disabled.
I was living in Oakland California when I suffered a brain bleed in 2015 that left me disabled. After spending 2 months in a couple of hospitals and a rehabilitation center I moved back to my hometown of Pasco Washington to rehabilitate with friends and family.
Now I'm directing a documentary with two local aspiring filmmakers from Time Magic Studios led by Steven Barrientos (who is a native American disabled veteran). The film will be about my journey about how I became disabled and my journey thus far. I will tell my story and try to inspire as many people as possible.
I can't tell my story without going back to Oakland California where it all ended and began. We really need your help to get us there to film. We plan on filming labor day weekend. Anything and everything will help! A special account has been created for donations and for funding this project. Accountability is a big deal for us and we will keep all receipts of every dollar spent and will be posting receipts along the way.
Donations of $1,000 or more gets you an Executive Producer credit plus Early Access to rough cuts of the film, bonus footage and Free admittance plus one guest to the premier screening next year! Donations of $100 or more gets you the same thing except for the executive producer credit. Please help me tell my story and to live out my dream as a director and filmmaker.
