I am a low-income, first-generation college student working hard to become a Spanish teacher. With the current teacher shortage in the US, I want to make a difference by helping young students learn a second language, which is so important for their social and professional growth. Recently, I was given an incredible opportunity to study Spanish in Granada, Spain, and complete an internship teaching English there. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance that will help me grow both personally and professionally, but I need help covering the costs of flights, visa, and the program itself.
Being able to immerse myself in Spanish language and culture will make me a stronger teacher and allow me to connect more deeply with my Hispanic heritage. I know this experience will help me bring even more to my future students and community when I return. I am so grateful for the chance to go, and any support—no matter how small—means the world to me. Thank you in advance for considering helping me make this dream a reality.
