<div>My name is Jacqueline, and I am a 56-year-old woman living with Cerebral Palsy. I rely on a power wheelchair to get around. Two months ago, I moved to another county where the rent is much more affordable and the apartment is more accessible for my wheelchair.

<div> Unfortunately, due to my low income I had to take out three loans just to afford the move.  This has ruined my credit. Now, as I try to rebuild my life, I am applying to purchase a used wheelchair van so I can get to my doctor appointments and return to church. However, my application was denied because of my bad credit.

<div> Back in Palm Beach County, I relied on the Palm Tran Connection Paratransit System to get to medical appointments, church, and other important places. Here in Saint Lucie County, I need to apply for their Paratransit System, but the process requires a doctor's letter and a lengthy application. Without transportation, I can't even get the letter I need, and approval could take up to a year. I miss attending Christ Fellowship Church, where I was a volunteer greeter and met so many wonderful people. Most of all, I miss serving God and being part of my community.
