As an essential worker, Jack continued to serve his community through the desolation. While returning home to his family late at night after a long day of work, Jack's car clipped a trailer and flipped. He was then struck by another vehicle, causing his car to roll again. Jack was cut out of his car by first responders and transported to the local hospital. It was then determined that he needed to have emergency surgery, so he was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
