Help Jackie Kiyan and Matt Mackenzie post flood

I’ve created this go fund me in hopes to help support Jackie Kiyan and Matt MacKenzie through a difficult time. If you are lucky enough to know them you are well aware of their values and unconditional support they give to every single person they come across. Over the years that has looked like letting friends and family live in their home rent free for extended periods of time, giving and lending money when they themselves have none to give, but always scrounging it up for someone that needs it. Providing physical labour and hot food to our neighbours during the flood of 2020, despite having their own house flooded. They are without a doubt two of the most selfless people you could ever come across.. and now it’s our turn to help them. Like many Fort McMurray residents the May flood completely swallowed their home and belongings. After insurance leaving them stranded they continued forward with smiles on their faces knowing that they would somehow figure everything out. Today they both received permanent layoffs leaving the term “ figure everything out” very difficult and hard to envision. This was unexpected and due to our economy left them in a very hard spot.. more so than they would ever like to admit. ( sorry mom but it’s true lol) They are left in a dire situation until finding new work. They aren’t the type of people to ask for help so I am on their behalf without their permission ( again, sorry mom). This year has been so hard on all of us..  and not many of us have money to spare. However, I am asking my community of family and friends in FortMcMurray to please help my sisters and I support our family in ways we cannot solely on our own. 

if there is anyone that genuinely deserves a break, or some form of support it is my mom and Matt.
