Help Jackie Buy an Oxygen Machine

Hello!
My name is Shiesha and I'm raising money on behalf of my mother, Jackie. My mother is an amazing woman who has inspired me and others to do things that we never imagined were possible. She is the reason why I am currently in a PhD program in Clinical Psychology. She continuously inspired the sick children that she worked with at a children’s hospital for over 20 years. Now, she needs your help.
Jackie was burned extensively when she was 15 and that resulted in a lot of damage to her lungs. As a result of this incident, she developed COPD, Asthma, and a wealth of other issues. Now she needs to use an oxygen machine to help her breathe. While she currently has an oxygen machine, it's really heavy and difficult for her to carry around. Due to various other illnesses, she has difficulty maneuvering about in her everyday life. She needs to carry a lot of machines in order for it to be safe for her to travel outside of (and even within) the home. Having a newer and lighter oxygen machine would really help improve her quality of life. This is especially important because she doesn't have an in-home aid.
I live far away because I am attending graduate school and her other child, my brother, was murdered. Unfortunately, I can only go home so often to help her because of school. Her independence is really important to her and I want to help her stay independent as long as possible.
After spending over 20 years working in the children'shospital she was forced into early retirement due to her disabilities. She is now on a fixed income and her health insurance will not cover the type of machine she needs. Your donation will help buy her the Inogen One G3 Portable Oxygen Concentrator and an extended battery pack. This machine will help make it easier for her to do important tasks, like her own grocery shopping, which is something she hasn't been able to do on her own for quite some time.
