My name is Jade, and last fall I met Ivy at Bible study- I host events for women and it was an obvious invitation to have her come out and take some pictures. And no surprise, Ivy was awesome!! From that day onwards she came to all of my events, took all the pictures, connected with all of our women and spread her love and light ✨. But I knew she didn’t feel well, and then she told me about her struggles…

<div>In June, Ivy was diagnosed with severe mold toxicity that has created a litany of health issues, affecting neurological function, mobility, and pain affecting almost every area of her body and life. Huh? WHAT? Yes, After many doctor appointments, dead ends, and specialists who couldn’t help or gave up entirely, Ivy finally received the health answers she’s been seeking. But while the diagnosis is clear, the solution is complex—and unfortunately, NOT covered by insurance. Booooo! Timely intervention is critical to prevent further tissue, nerve, and brain damage, and to begin recovery.

<div>In mid-August, Ivy will travel to Tennessee for an in-person intensive as the start of a 6–12 month treatment plan. She will be seeing one of the best doctors in the world with an incredible success rate of treating similar cases. Her treatment will continue remotely from California with the occasional trip back to Tennessee for in-person testing &amp;treatment. This doctor takes a gentler &amp; more personalized approach than previous protocols she’s been prescribed—prior treatments caused significant side effects that impaired her speech, mobility, and cognition, leaving her temporarily unable to work or take care of herself. This new treatment approach is designed to help her steadily regain her health while still being able to work and support herself.

<div>Between medical costs, treatments, labs, travel, and the potential need to relocate and replace many of her belongings, the financial burden is significant. As a single, self-employed woman, Ivy is stepping out in faith and relying on God's provision and the generosity of her community in

<div>Hello friends of Ivy! I wanted to share a little update with you now that Ivy has returned from her first round of treatment:

<div>Ivy has been absolutely floored and overwhelmed with the love and support she’s felt from you all!! She told me that she couldn’t have imagined such a reception of support, but she is humbled and feeling so surrounded with love. Her first round of treatment wouldn’t have been possible without each of you, and she sends a giant THANK YOU for every prayer, message and contribution. She says it means the world!!!

<div>The beginning of Ivy’s treatment in Tennessee couldn’t have gone better!! Each day was packed with 5-8 hours of treatment to fine tune and jumpstart her recovery. Every day is different, but she’s beginning to show signs of healing in a new environment, and for the first time in a long time, beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

<div>How we can continue to support:

<div>During her first round of treatment, because of the severity of her condition, her doctor actually ended up recommending her to return within 3 months, rather waiting another 6 months. This has been scheduled for early December 2025. Among other things, this means that Ivy’s treatment financial timelines will be moving up. And, between now and then, her ongoing treatments here at home will be even more focused, requiring more time and energy.

<div>She has also learned that due to the severity of her mold toxicity, if she hopes to recover, will have to move and discard of most of her personal belongings that have been contaminated, both practical and sentimental. This includes everything from upholstered furniture (sofas, chairs, bed, etc.) to more sentimental things like her grandmother’s rugs, artwork, journals &amp; books, antique tapestries &amp; collections, and more.

<div>It is a lot to process emotionally and a lot to manage physically, especially while she’s in recovery. So! The huge ask if for a continuation of prayers, messages, and support. If you are able to contribute to her next phase of treatment, share with others, or lift up Ivy in your prayers, know it will go a very very long way in Ivy’s life!!
