Help Ismael and his family!

Donation protected
Ismael Chamu is a man on a mission. He is a UC Berkeley student aiming to earn a degree in Sociology and wants to eventually attend Grad school to one day become a teacher. A son of Mexican immigrants, Ismael treks 90 mins from Hayward to get to class while taking care of his two younger sisters Jocelyn and Yazmin. Ismael and his two sisters currently live in a trailer parked in Hayward with no gas or sewer hookups, and will have to move Tuesday. Ismael’s story in the LA times broke my heart. There is no reason why a young student who is taking care of his family should have to worry about adequate housing while working towards their goals.

I am proposing that we raise $5000.00 to help Ismael and his family find safe housing so they can sleep safetly.
