<div>Hello all! Some of you are familiar with Madison’s journey and I’m sure there will be plenty of you who just now are learning of her battle. Since November 2024 our 9 year old daughter Madison has been forced to transform from a spunky, energetic, caring and selfless normal girl, into one who’s faced the most impossible struggles, sacrifices and permenant changes that no child should ever have to face. Since her diagnosis of high grade glioma which began as a tangerine sized tumor in her brain, she’s endured two very delicate brain surgeries to remove the tumor plus another to implant a permanent shunt from her brain to her abdomen plus 34 treatments of proton radiation . She’s endured 3 weeks of bacterial pneumonia which left her intubated and critical. She’s endured seizures which have altered her mental state and she has since lost almost all of her muscular strength and is now unable to walk, use a toilet or even feed herself without assistance. Still, through all these separate battles, she continues to work hard to build her strength, to find the silver linings and still continues to love and respect and be the sweet girl she’s always been. Most recently our follow up mri shows that the cancer has metastasized into her lower cerebral area as well is several areas in her neck and spine. As a result it was decided to change her chemotherapy drug to a different one and begin immunotherapy infusions as well as prepare for another length of radiation treatments. This has caused our family of 6 to have to be apart for long amounts of time as we live in WY and madison has to be in SLC, UT for her radiation. Thankfully we have so many folks like you, the reader, who have selflessly donated their money, time, and so much more to help us continue, to help me be able to be with my wife, my children and most importantly Madison as her prognosis is 3 months to a year provided she responds well to this new therapy. Jason’s friends of Casper has been bearing the brunt of our expenses as we have rent, car payments, travel, utilities, insurance, etc that still continue to be due every month. It’s alot of miles on our vehicles, more maintenance, so much pressure on top of our other children who must remain in school and miss school at the same time (shout out to Shoshoni Elementary students and staff for ALL of your help and support!) Any and all help, prayers and blessings of any sort are all incredible and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. “It takes a villiage” is more true than I ever knew.
