<div>My name is Zabrina Peters, and I live on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawai‘i. I’m creating this fundraiser for my best friend, Fayrina, her husband Irwin, their 7 kids, and their extended family.

<div>My best friend and her family of nine — seven kids — went through something no parent should ever have to experience.

<div>During the recent Kona storm in Hawaii, the flooding came fast. Faster than anyone expected. One minute it was heavy rain… the next, water was rising into their home and they knew they had to get out immediately.

<div>They grabbed their kids and fled, trying to make it to the next town to find safety.
</div>

</div>
<div>But on the way there, their car started filling with water.
</div>

</div>
<div>And then it stalled.
</div>

<div>In the middle of flooding. With all seven of their kids inside.
</div>

</div>
<div>They had no choice but to get out… and in that moment, they were literally passing their kids out through the windows of the car to get them to safety, one by one, before walking through the water to find shelter.

<div>By the time they made it out, everything had already started changing.
</div>

</div>
<div>Furniture, beds, clothes, appliances… gone.
</div>
<div>And the irreplaceable things too like photos, keepsakes, baby items, and memories.
</div>

<div>If you know them, you know how much love fills their homes. They are the kind of people who would give anything to help someone else without even thinking twice.

<div>And now they’re the ones who need help.
