My great Aunt Irene Moya de Sandoval, has been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), or as it’s often called, “Lou Gehrig’s disease.” A very rare disease that has no known cure, there are however medicine and methods to slow down its effect but these come at a great cost. With the global pandemic and the economic uncertainty surrounding us, check-ups, medicine, and necessary comforts have become a huge financial burden for her.
For those who don't know Irene, she is a hardworking Bolivian Farmer who has mothered 4 children and has at the moment, 8 grandchildren all still kids. She has supported, cared for, and given the opportunity for her family to prosper not just in Bolivia, but here in the U.S as well.
Her children up to this point had to help support these financial burdens. On behalf of them, THE GOAL of this gofundme is so the rest of us can help support her as well. Medical expenses are hard enough, but, during this time of uncertainty it becomes even tougher. the $10,000 goal is what we hope to be the first big step in helping a kind, loving, and caring woman be able to enjoy the gift of life for as long as she can.

It is not easy to ask for help but sometimes in one's life they face challenges and trouble that they can not overcome by themselves.
