Help Irene DuBois Regain Vision!

I am starting this GoFundMe for a wonderful and extremely customer-service oriented lady named Irene DuBois, who is a cashier at Kroger in Bartonville, Texas.
I received her permission to start this GoFundMe, after I learned about some health and financial issues she recently encountered.
Let me start by saying that this lady is quite possibly the sweetest person alive! I have gotten to know her while shopping, and I have learned that she had a very rough start at life. She was a victim of horrible child abuse, leaving her to run away from home at a young age. From that point forward, she had to make her own way in life.
That, in and of itself, crushes me!
I just learned that she recently had a stroke which left her RIGHT EYE BLIND. She is unable to see anything out of her right eye. Her doctor told her there was an experimental treatment he could do on the right eye, but that it would cost her $700, plus > $150 per month in medications for a year. While there are no guarantees, this treatment offers her the ability to possibly regain some, if not all of her vision back.
To most people, there would be no question here. $2500 to possibly regain your vision? Where do we sign? Right?
While the option exists, she has not and is not planning on going that route because it is too costly for her because of her very limited income, as well as her husband's equally limited income. (He stocks shelves with product at Kroger.)
To me, this is devastating - that someone would even consider foregoing such an opportunity - to regain lost vision. Because of this, I want to see if we, as a community, can help offset these costs to her so that we can help her potentially regain her vision. Also, these donations would help reduce any stress and the financial burdens they have encountered via these health issues.
Currently she owes $1300 for the initial eye doctor visits, and she would need $700 (for the surgical treatment of the right eye), plus $1800 for one year of the medications for that eye. This totals $3800. I am rounding this up to $5,000 in case there are any unknown and unforeseeable medical bills tied to regaining this vision.
To add fuel to the fire, her husband Larry suffered some health complications this month where he also had to have some type of surgery. Sorry, I don't remember the details as it was told in passing, though it further validates how grateful this family would be to receive any type of financial donation to help offset these surmounting costs (and more importantly - to help regain Irene's vision).
If you can find it in your heart to donate anything - even just $1, I assure you, this will be money well-spent and extremely appreciated. Irene is not one to ask for help. Instead, I suggested this approach to her. (She had never even heard of GoFundMe.) I'm praying we can help alleviate a lot of the financial and emotional stress associated with everything they've undergone these last 6 weeks.
Every penny donated here will go directly to Irene DuBois (less whatever GoFundMe takes out for their funding fees).
