Help IC Speaks & Waterloo Writing Project!

Hey everyone! My name is Sarah Ha and I’m the festival director for Iowa’s Leaders Uplifting Voices (iLUV), which is a state poetry slam that will have poets from Des Moines, Waterloo, and Iowa City competing against each other at the end of July!

Since we have teams traveling to be a part of this event, we wanted to make sure we could assist in raising $ for their stay and travel expenses! Each team has roughly 10 people on it including poets, coaches, and/or others. Check out the teams via Instagram: @iowacitypoetry & @waterloowritingproject!

To check out Team Des Moines, go to @movement515! As we get more behind-the-scenes information confirmed, we will be able to have tickets open to the public to purchase to view the slam so in the meantime, let’s help our friends get here comfortably!
