Help IOBCWA Preserve Our Piece of Paradise

Ingleside on the Bay Coastal Watch Association (IOBCWA) was incorporated in September 2019 by citizens concerned about impacts of sea level rise, rapid industrialization, air and water quality and ship traffic next to the City of Ingleside on the Bay (IOB), Texas. Our mission is to promote the health, safety, and quality of life for residents of the City of Ingleside on the Bay through research, education, communication and action. Membership is open to any current resident, property owner, business operator, volunteer for, or employee of Ingleside on the Bay or in Ingleside Cove. Our membership is currently over 160 with an 8-member Board of Directors and an Executive Director. We hold workshops with academic experts, obtain funding to help guide city coastal protection projects, conduct studies of seagrasses and air quality, engage in regional publicity campaigns, and coordinate citizen activism regarding various environmental challenges. Because our coastal community is currently facing numerous environmental threats posed by industry, we have had to engage in battles on multiple fronts in order to continue to safely exist.
