</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Partnering with Project Ladakh to power Himalayan communities sustainably and preserve their heritage.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our Mission</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sustainable Himalayas is a U.S.-based nonprofit partnering with Project Ladakh and local leaders to bring renewable energy, education, and opportunity to remote Himalayan villages in northern India.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our goal is simple but urgent</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To empower these communities with sustainable energy systems that provide warm water, light, and comfort — while preserving culture, protecting the environment, and promoting long-term self-sufficiency.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why It Matters</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In the high-altitude villages of Ladakh, temperatures regularly drop below -20°C (-4°F). Families live without access to reliable heat or hot water, relying on wood and fossil fuels that are expensive, unsustainable, and harmful to both people and the planet.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every solar water heater we install provides continuous warm water to a family or small community center — reducing fuel dependence and improving health and quality of life, all powered by the sun.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But this isn’t charity — it’s empowerment.
</div>
<div>Our approach prioritizes local leadership, environmental data, and long-term sustainability. Each system is built with the community, by the community, ensuring that the knowledge, skills, and maintenance stay local.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our 2026 Goal</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In summer 2026, our team will return to northern India to fund and personally install 15 solar water heating systems across remote Himalayan villages.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These installations will:
</div>
<div>	•	Provide warm water access for over 200 residents.
</div>
<div>	•	Eliminate 562 metric tons of CO₂ emissions through saved fossil fuels.
</div>
<div>	•	Create a scalable model for clean-energy expansion across the region.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every dollar raised here goes directly toward the purchase, transport, and installation of these solar systems. All funds are transferred to Project Ladakh, our trusted local partner, who coordinates on-the-ground logistics and ensures the technology reaches the people who need it most.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Transparency &amp; Partnership</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sustainable Himalayas operates as an independent U.S. nonprofit and official partner of Project Ladakh.
</div>
<div>	•	All donations go directly toward renewable-energy projects.
</div>
<div>	•	Every installation is documented and shared with donors through photos, videos, and community impact reports.
</div>
<div>	•	100% transparency — always.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re not just raising money; we’re building a blueprint for sustainable development across the Himalayas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How You Can Help</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>	•	$25 – helps transport one solar unit to a high-altitude site
</div>
<div>	•	$100 – funds installation materials and tools
</div>
<div>	•	$350 – fully funds one solar water heater for a family
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution, no matter the size, fuels this mission and creates a ripple of lasting change.
