URGENT Help For 100 Dogs In UKRAINE
Hi, my name is Christy Lee and I am helping my friends, Alisa Berezutzka and Sebastian to save
100 Homeless animals in the war zone of Ukraine . Alias, who lives in Ukraine , has been caring for these dogs and needs our help. Once funds are raised, I will be sending the funds directly to Alias via western Union.
3 of the dogs Bella, Kira and Atos have broken spinal cords and we need to transport them to Kyiv the Capital for special treatments. During the 3 years of war at the East of Ukraine, almost 2 million people had to flee from their homes, often leaving their pets to meet the challenge of survival in a war zone. "Artemivsk Society for the Protection of Animals" NGO consisting of 4 founders and less than 10 volunteers, who collect these frightened dogs and cats from the streets. As result we have around 100 dogs are at our “shelter” (which was created for 30 animals initially) and 20+ are at temporary home-care, and we have long gone beyond our primary function and capacity to host homeless animals. We all work and take care of animals in our free time as we can't afford paying a salary to a full-time worker. Since March 2014, we don’t have electricity, or running water. The premise, which in reality is a shed for storing seedlings, was converted in 2012 to a shelter, and now urgently needs to be repaired. The city authorities are aware of the situation, however they don’t find it urgent. So it’s us 4 girls and rare volunteers who are still fighting for these homeless animal’s lives, and a right for decent existence. We ask for your kind help.
