Help Families at the Border

Hey everyone my name is Rondell Treviño, the Founder of The immigration Project, and I am from Memphis, Tennessee. Although President Trump signed an executive order to keep families together at the Border (Which is a good first step!), Immigrant families will still be in detention centers together and shipped around the country until their cases are heard and they are possibly deported. While Immigrant parents and children are in detention centers, there's a huge need for Bibles, toiletries, blankets, water, diapers, and food while they wait for the decision on their asylum petition and/or trial to come.

Therefore, there are still existing needs for Immigrant families right now.

Today The immigration Project (theimmigrationproject.com), which inspires the Church to view Immigration and love Immigrants the way God intended, wants to raise $8,000 to reach two goals at this time:

1.  PROVIDE BIBLES for Immigrants located in Detention Centers. Our team at the The immigration Project called as many detention centers around the country as possible and the ones below replied to us and possibly have a mixture of Parents who have been separated from their Children at the border along with other Immigrants. We have built a trust with the detentions centers--many have great chaplains who love Jesus who we spoke to and they want Bibles sent to their centers for Immigrant families. $4,000 of the $8,000 we raise will be used to purchase as many Bibles as possible--half Spanish, half English. If you have Bibles already and want to donate them, please contact us. We will use almost half of the money raised to purchase roughly 930 Bibles--half Spanish, half English. Each of the Detention centers below will receive at least around 155 Bibles.

Detention Centers we will donate Bibles to:
Pulaski County Detention Center - Illinois.
Atlanta City Detention Center - Georgia.
Etowah County Detention Center - Alabama.
Irwin County Detention Center - Georgia.
Wakulla County Detention Center - Florida.

2. PROVIDE FUNDING for Iglesia Misionera Cristo Vive Church located in Pharr, Texas--nine minutes away from McAllen, Texas where Children were separated a week ago from their parents at the Border. Iglesia Misionera Cristo Vive Church works with an Immigrant Refuge Center in McAllen, Texas that houses Immigrant families who have crossed the border asking for asylum so the families can stay together. The Church also provides food and blankets for Immigrant Children detained in San Benito, Texas Detention Center. $4,000 will be used for toiletries, blankets, pillows, diapers, water, and food in order to help as many Immigrant families as possible. We have built a trust and relationship with Iglesia Misionera Cristo Vive Church by partnering with his son Yonathan who is the Founder of Border Perspective which is an organization we are partnering with to raise the money for the Church. We plan on going to the Church on the Border, giving the Church a $4,000 check, and helping Immigrant families.

When it comes to withdrawing the money, I will withdrawal the money to my bank account and do two things:
1. Purchase all of the 930 Bibles and mail them to each detention Center.
2. I will fly down to Iglesia Misionera Cristo Vive Church in Pharr, Texas August 13-15 and give a check to the Pastor of the Church and purchase waters, blankets, food, pillows, etc. for Immigrant families.
