Help Ike Have Care

Donation protected

Ike Keay has led an amazing life. He rose above his own devastating hurt and trauma from severe abuse as a child in an orphanage,  to protect and care for the children of prisoners as the director of Bethel Bible Village in Chattanooga, TN for many years. His uplifting story can be read in his autobiography Child of Pain, Children of Joy,  and heard on the "Unshackled!" radio program # 3600.  He has given his whole life to serve Christ in full-time Christian ministry, and many of you visiting this site have been personally blessed by knowing this wonderful, godly man. He has been a pillar of the faith for his family, in his community, and to all who have known him.

Now,  Ike needs us.

He turned 89 years old in October 2020, and suffers from late-stage Parkinson's Disease with Dementia, which has become debilitating for him.  His wife, Carolyn, cared for Ike until it recently became necessary for him to be moved in with his daughter, Deb Keay McPherson, to be cared for in her home.  As Deb works full-time as a nurse herself,  Ike's care is being provided during the day by his adult granddaughter, Eilidh*, and a professional caregiver.  This gofundme account has been set up to meet the need of $1000 per month for Ike's care.  If you are able to help by sending a gift of any amount (No gift is too small!),  Carolyn and Ike's family will be incredibly grateful.  Thank you in advance for helping this servant of God spend his final days in a loving and caring environment, thereby helping  him "finish well."

(Special Notes: *Beneficiary of this fundraiser for Ike is listed by gofundme as Eilidh Camacho, Ike's granddaughter who lives in the same home with Ike, cares for him, and pays for the necessary additional caregivers from this fund. Carolyn and all family members approve of this arrangement. 100% of gifts go directly to Ike's care. *Anonymous gifts- your gift will remain publicly anonymous but gofundme notifies the organizer of your name and there is no option to change this. Brian Keay is organizing this online for his parents and pledges to not let anyone or Ike and Carolyn know the identity of any giver who wishes to remain anonymous. We honor any gifts privately made to the Lord and thank you for following His voice. )
