Help Husky Winter Sports (Covid-19 relief)

Hello there!

My name is Emma Radisch (also known as J.O.E) and I am the current President of Husky Winter Sports! We are a ski and snowboard club at the University of Washington that provides an opportunity for UW students to earn a free season of skiing/snowboarding by teaching lessons to families and children from the Seattle and Snoqualmie area. Our club is a 501c3 organization that is completely student run and managed, with all of our members volunteering many hours of their personal time for our kiddos on the slopes. We are also the oldest club on UW's campus and have been shredding the Summit at Snoqualmie since the 1930s! Unfortunately, the past year and a half of the Covid-19 pandemic and other restrictions Snoqualmie has put in place have strained our finances for the 2021-2022 season. Last winter, we had to cancel our lessons for the health and safety of our instructors causing a huge loss of profits and putting our upcoming season in peril. On top of that, Summit at Snoqualmie has cut our lessons in half this year, making it extremely difficult for us to reach our goal and provide the services to our instructors and students that we have in the past. Our officer crew has already been putting in months of work to try and run lessons this winter and we need your help. We want to be able to continue to pay for our instructors' passes, food, board, transportation, and uniforms this season to remain an accessible option for ANY AND ALL UW students that love to ski and snowboard.
