<div>My brother-in-law <strong>Humberto Samias</strong> in Brazil has been diagnosed <strong>with pulmonary fibrosis</strong>, a serious illness that doctors say has no cure. Humberto, has always been an active and joyful person who loved playing soccer. For <strong>11 years</strong> of his life he <strong>helped others working</strong> for SAMU (Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência), <strong>Brazil's nationwide public emergency medical service</strong>. Through his work with SAMU, Humberto provided urgent medical care to people in need in his community in the interior of the Amazonas, making a real difference in countless lives.

<div>Recently, his life changed dramatically due to a serious illness that has left him struggling to breathe and unable to work or enjoy his favorite sport. The diagnosis has been devastating for our family, and the challenges we now face are overwhelming. Every day that goes by, Humberto's condition gets worse. He is waiting for the government SUS to approve his medication, but he has already been turned down once and is still struggling to get approved for medical assistance. The medication he needs<strong> (OFEV 150mg (nintedanibe)</strong> is extremely expensive, (R$20.000,00 / U$3.600,00 in Brazil) and just one box lasts only two months. This cost is far beyond what the family can afford, and without this medication, his condition will continue to worsen. The funds raised will go directly toward covering the high cost of his medication, as well as other medical expenses since he had to stop working.

<div>Supporting Humberto during this difficult time will not only help him have access the medication he desperately needs, but it will also bring hope to our entire family. Even though his illness has a low survival rate, your support can help ease the financial burden and allow Humberto to focus on living a better life. That’s why I am organizing this campaign: to raise funds so he can have access to the medication that can improve his quality of life and, in faith, even lead to healing in the name of Jesus.

O remédio indicado pelos médicos custa em torno de R$ 20.000,00 reais (media de $3600) por uma caixa que contém 60 capsulas ou seja só para dois meses, é um valor que está muito além das nossas condições. Por isso estamos organizando essa campanha para arrecadar recursos e garantir que ele tenha acesso ao tratamento que pode melhorar sua qualidade de vida e até mesmo ser curado em nome do Senhor Jesus.
