Hello, my name is Jessica, and just a couple of weeks ago we recieved the horrifying news no one ever wants to hear "You have cancer". It all started when Hugo, my better half started experiencing some pain and discomfort and after two months of intolerable pain he couldn't bare it any longer he decided to go see the GI doctor and this is where we learned the root of his pain, Signet Cell Carcinoma (colon cancer). Waiting for his insurance to finally kick in in February and finding it hard to make it through a full day of work we now find ourselves in a financial bind. He has had two CT scans since his diagnosis but to add to the blow today they found he also has some nodules on his lungs so now the doctor is requesting a PET scan to ensure this is not another issue that has to be dealt with. The PET scan will pinpoint the current problem and better aid the doctors to prepare what they need to do to clear him of this sickness. However, this Scan has now left us with the task to come up with funds to pay upfront in the next couple of weeks to meet his deductible plus we also need to prepare for what is to come with chemo, radiation, and surgery in the next six months.
