Help Hugo Crosthwaite Beat Cancer

Dear Friends,
Hugo Crosthwaite, an artist whom many of you have had the chance to meet during his exhibitions at the gallery, biennials and museum shows, is dealing with a serious medical situation that requires our immediate attention.
In September, Hugo was diagnosed with Stage 3 testicular cancer at which time he underwent surgery and appeared to have a clean bill of health. The week before last, he woke up with a swollen leg and was diagnosed with a DVT (large blood clot). He is receiving care for that and may ultimately require surgical intervention. Unfortunately, now they have also discovered that his cancer has spread to his lymph nodes and has entered his blood, kidneys and liver. This week he began a very aggressive chemotherapy protocol and will require multiple rounds of chemo and radiation therapy.
His family and friends in Tijuana and San Diego who have been assisting with paying for his care are tapped out and he does not have insurance, but he is receiving care in Mexico where the cost is significantly lower. With upcoming treatments, we anticipate his expenses to be in the mid $20,000s. Our goal is to raise $25,000 so that he can continue his care. Specifically, the funds will go to paying for multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, diagnostic procedures and continued monitoring of the cancer and DVT.
Not only is Hugo an incredibly talented artist, he is a very kind and wonderful human being who generously donates his time to the education of children in school programs, and is an advocate for those with less and those who aspire to have a better life. He has witnessed their struggles and they are documented in his amazing drawings, paintings and murals.
