Hello, everyone! Thanks for taking the time to click onto this and read about my humble cause. My name is James Mullen, and I am an independent musician, freelance music journalist, and DIY booking agent/promoter based in the 518 region of upstate New York and have been operating in the upstate New York music scene as an independent contractor for well over a decade. In that time, I realized that I had a true passion for organizing shows, being a part of the process of putting them on, and bringing the high quality local, independent entertainment into the venues and spaces around me as much as possible. That's why I started House of M Entertainment, my booking, promotion and live event management startup.

House of M's mission has always been to connect independent musicians with local venues throughout the region, while ideally providing appropriate compensation for the labor of everyone involved. However, since I've been operating House of M since May 2023, I've learned that this can be anything but straightforward with so many economic variables. It's incredibly important to me to be able to provide artists and venues with the compensation they rightly earn for the hard work they put in, independent of all other factors. That's what they call a "guarantee", and that's where you come in!
