This is an humanitarian campaing to help a family survive.

Update on August 1st, 2026

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the campaign, or reached out with words of support. Your generosity has helped the Qudaih family get through another very difficult period.

Over the past few months, several of the children have been sick, most recently with chickenpox. Living in Gaza means that illnesses that would normally be manageable become much more serious because of the lack of access to medical care, clean water, proper nutrition, and basic supplies. It has been a challenging time for the entire family.

We also have some good news to share.

Moataz passed his medical school entrance exams with an outstanding score of 97 out of 100, allowing him to continue pursuing his dream of becoming a doctor. Thanks to your support, this campaign was able to cover the cost of the preparatory courses he needed for these exams. Your donations helped turn a goal that once seemed out of reach into a real opportunity.

Your generosity is also supporting another member of the family, Mohammed, who is continuing his university studies in Algeria. The campaign has been helping cover his education as well, ensuring that he can keep studying while his family faces extraordinary challenges.

We also wanted to share a quick update about Hossam. He is doing well in Santiago and is about to begin his second semester at university. Being able to continue his education while staying connected with and supporting his family has meant a great deal to him.

Many of you have also asked whether there has been any progress in finding a way to bring the family out of Gaza.

Unfortunately, after consulting with two different law firms, we have learned that there is currently no viable legal pathway to evacuate the family. Any realistic option would require active cooperation from the Chilean government, and at this time that support is not available. In addition, the border crossings remain closed, making any evacuation impossible for now.

While this is not the news we had hoped to share, we wanted to be transparent with everyone who has supported this campaign. For the time being, our efforts remain focused on helping the family meet their immediate needs and ensuring that the children and young adults can continue their education whenever possible.

These are tangible examples of what your support makes possible. Beyond helping the family meet their daily needs, you are helping preserve opportunities for their future and giving them a measure of stability during an incredibly difficult time.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this campaign. Your support continues to make a meaningful difference for the Qudaih family.

If you are able to share the campaign with others or contribute again, your help is still greatly needed as the family continues to navigate this ongoing crisis.

Thank you for continuing to stand with the Qudaih family.

Update on November 14th, 2025

Dear community,

We would like to share an important update with you about the campaign to support Hossam’s family. Over the past few weeks, we have been concerned because the fundraising has stalled and donations have decreased significantly. Although the amount shown on the campaign page appears high, we are running out of money to send them (the commissions to receive cash in Gaza are still 47%).

We know that, in general, Palestine has lost space in public and media interest, and unfortunately Gaza no longer appears in the news with the same strength.

In Chile, specifically, the current focus is on the upcoming presidential elections. And it is likely that the next few months will continue to be difficult for fundraising: the end of the year is approaching—Christmas, summer holidays—and many people disconnect.

Given the sharp decline in donations, we need to move up this support to ensure that the family has at least a stable income that allows them to survive in Gaza, where they depend solely and entirely on what we can send them through this campaign.

We would also like to tell you that the use of the campaign funds now includes new specific expenses:

-Medicine and supplements for Zain, who was hospitalized after the forced evacuation and sleeping on the streets a month ago but is stable these days ;)

-Support for Moataz’s studies, so he can continue his education and complete his final year of high school despite the enormous difficulties they face. We are paying for a private tutor three times a week.

-Help for Mohammed, who is currently in Algeria and also depends on this fund to cover his living expenses while studying at university with a scholarship. We are also helping him with a medical issue affecting his eyes that developed after his evacuation.

-Food and basic items, whose prices have increased considerably due to scarcity.

Last night the family almost freezed because of the cold and strong winds. They lost everything in the last forced evacuations and haven´t been able to buy blankets or winter clothing, as they are also scarce and extremely expensive.

All seven family members are living in a tented area. Even if we were able to raise funds to buy another tent (as we offered Hossam), the camp is so overcrowded that there is no space for a second one. You will see in the photos.

At this point, there is no certainty that we will be able to bring the family to Chile, and in the meantime they continue to rely on us. This is why we ask you, from the heart, to help us share the campaign, spread it again, and look for new donations. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a real and concrete difference for them.

On another note—and some good news—Hossam is adapting well in Chile. He is surrounded by a loving community that is supporting him. He already had his interview to regularize his papers as a war refugee, and the government has offered to support him with 26 months of rent in a very beautiful new building (along with the other families who arrived in Chile through the same evacuation). Three volunteer teachers from the community are helping him learn Spanish, and he is very focused on learning the language so he can study medicine with a scholarship we secured for him.

It is very hard for him to be far from his family, and this keeps him awake at night, deeply worried as he watches them suffer.

Thank you for continuing to accompany us on this journey. Your support is what keeps this hope alive.

Update on September 14th, 2025

First of all, thank you so much for all your donations, which have kept the Qudaih family alive and full of hope amidst these cruel times for Gaza, which are becoming increasingly difficult.

We have excellent news to share!!!!!!! —Hossam has managed to evacuate to Chile thanks to a humanitarian operation by the government! He arrived yesterday morning in Santiago, Chile. This was made possible by the many wonderful people who came together to form a collective effort. We created a plan to welcome Hossam, providing him with friendship, housing, Spanish classes, therapy, and 30 committed monthly donors to support him with food and personal needs during his first year of integration.

Hossam is heartbroken knowing that his family and community are still there, living under the hell of occupation. Now, we are determined to move mountains to reunite his family and help them evacuate to Chile as well. His family—his six siblings, mother, and father—are left vulnerable without Hossam, who was their main provider. They are in the midst of mass evacuations, illness, and lack access to hygiene, medicine, and food. His father has mobility issues, and his younger brother Zain is suffering from severe psychological problems due to stress and his medical condition.

We need to raise $14,000 USD for the 7 plane tickets from Jordan to Chile (we already have an amazing sponsor covering one full ticket). We are making an urgent call for support to help us reach this goal and keep the campaign going while we work on bringing them to safety. Please help us spread the word and donate—it’s urgent that we bring them as soon as possible! We have already sent US 19,000 to Hossam during the last year to the family, so now we have to reach aprox US 33,000

We've been led to believe that we can do nothing in the face of this system’s cruelty—but yes, we can. If each person did what they could, this would be a more compassionate world.

Welcome, Hossam!

We had to build a village to bring you here—a village of friends who answered the call!

With deep gratitude and emotion,

Patricia, Vane, Kotto and our friends

Update on July 15th, 2025.

We have devastating news from the Qudaih family.

Today, Hossam was injured during a bombing while he was simply trying to find food. He survived by a miracle. His mouth was torn open — doctors gave him 11 stitches — and now he lives in fear of infection. They have no antibiotics, no painkillers, nothing to ease his pain or prevent further suffering.

As if that weren’t enough, Zain’s condition has taken a terrifying turn. Yesterday he woke up severely swollen and had to be rushed to the hospital. He’s now battling kidney infections, urinary infections, and there’s blood in his urine. His life is in danger.

Last week, thanks to your generosity, we raised enough to buy his medicine. But now he needs new medication — urgently — and they can’t afford it.

We are pleading for your help. They need immediate support to buy the life-saving medicines for Hossam and Zain, and to have even a small chance at surviving the daily nightmare of leaving their tent to search for food under constant threat.

Please — now more than ever — help them. For humanity.

Update on July 4th, 2025.

Dear beloved community,

who has stood by the Qudaih family with unwavering love and support,

The Qudaih family is facing a painful struggle. Little Zain is severely malnourished and his mind is overwhelmed by stress, which has worsened his health day by day. He suffers daily from vomiting and urgently needs a life-saving medicine that costs $500—a cost that must be paid regularly to keep him alive.

This burden feels almost impossible for the family, who are already struggling to cover even their most basic needs.

Meanwhile, Hossam, the eldest brother and the family’s main provider at just 21 years old, has been fighting a severe flu for two weeks, leaving the family more vulnerable than ever.

We humbly ask you to open your hearts and join us in supporting this family—through your donations and by sharing their story—to give Zain the chance to survive and heal.

From the bottom of their hearts, the Qudaih family sends you blessings and endless gratitude for your kindness and generosity.

Update on June 14th, 2025.

To the compassionate community that has been standing with Hossam and his family during these devastating times—thank you. Your support means the world.

Hossam has been completely cut off from the internet for the past three days. The situation in Gaza has worsened dramatically. With no access to the internet, he has been unable to reach the funds that were sent. On top of this, the commission fees to withdraw any available cash are now as high as 45%, and after more than three months of a complete blockade, food supplies have run out.

Today, Hossam managed to briefly reconnect using someone’s iPhone hotspot. He confirmed that he and his family are alive—but they are enduring famine conditions. He sends his love, his blessings, and a heartfelt plea for continued support. This campaign remains their only lifeline and the sole reason they are still surviving.

Please consider donating again if you're able. Your help is crucial to keeping this family alive during what is nothing short of a televised genocide.

With deep gratitude and hope,

Update on June 3rd, 2025

The Qudaih family has finally found a tent to sleep in, after a grueling week spent on the streets. Right now, nine people are sleeping in this small space. They are extremely grateful with everyone that helped raising funds to buy this tent.

They urgently need help to buy a new sack of flour, as well as basic necessities like blankets, dishes, clean water, and rent for the new place they’ve found.

These have been brutal days for Hossam and his family. They recently discovered a video posted on TikTok by an Israeli soldier showing the destruction of their home. The footage of what remains of their town, Khuza’a, is heartbreaking—everything has been reduced to a blanket of dust. Hossam has been trying to identify where his garden used to be in satellite images—his rose bush, his animals. (One of his cousins refused to leave the animals behind during the first evacuation and was killed along with them.)

Please consider sponsoring this kind family on the long term. They are going through a level of loss that is beyond imagination. They have lost relatives, friends, teachers. Their home, their education, and their dreams have been taken from them. Now they are trapped in Gaza, unable to leave, surrounded by relentless bombing and death.

Update on May 22th, 2025

Another tragedy has struck the Quaih family. Just three days ago, they narrowly escaped death in a violent attack and were forced to evacuate their camp, leaving behind the few belongings they had managed to save from their home.

They placed a sack of flour on a bicycle and, along with thousands of others, walked 20 kilometers in search of safety. Now, Hossam and his younger siblings are sleeping on the street.

Tents are nearly impossible to find—and when they are, prices have surged beyond $1,000 due to extreme shortages. Even with a tent, they’ll need to pay rent just to have a place to put it.

We are raising funds to help the Quaih family get:

A safe, secure tent

A place to set it up

Basic necessities like food (flour is US 750 these days or more) and water

We are deeply grateful for your support, and we ask—please do not abandon this family in these times of unimaginable sorrow, relentless hardship, and human cruelty. Every act of kindness matters more than ever.

Update on May 13th, 2025

The Qudaih family would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone who has been supporting the fundraising efforts.

It has been more than 70 days of suffering, an unrelenting blockade where not a single drop of food or water has entered Gaza. The price of a sack of flour has skyrocketed to 700 USD, and finding it has become nearly impossible. In a desperate attempt, we’ve sent transfers to Hossam for 1,000 USD, but the situation is dire: he has to pay a 35% commission just to receive the money in cash, and the remainder barely covers the cost of one sack of flour. There’s nothing left to meet the basic needs of the family.

They were able to get a sack of flour today, after one week without eating.

Little Zain is gravely ill. His health has been severely affected, and there’s no access to medicine, fruits, or vegetables because everything is exhausted. But the most heartbreaking part is that his suffering goes beyond the physical: he is so traumatized by the constant bombings, the imminent danger, and the overwhelming sadness that he is vomiting from anxiety. The anguish has consumed him. Many of his loved ones, friends, and teachers have been victims of the latest massacres near his home.

This family has lost everything! And the only thing they have left now is the hope that you might extend your hand and make a difference.

We ask you with all our hearts: please consider becoming a monthly donor to this campaign. It’s their only source of income, and what may seem like a small contribution to many, is a lifeline for them.

Zain

All the family is dedicated to take care of little Zain, he spends the days laying down and his health is deteriorating each day.

Update on March 26th, 2025

Dear everyone,

We would like to sincerely thank you for supporting Hossam and his family during these horrific times they are living. Their situation is beyond critical and fragile. They have been going through immense hunger as the campaing was blocked for a month and the prices of flour are crazy expensive. (Aprox 400 US the sack ). As you may know, this campaign is their only source of income.

They were exposing themselves to great danger by going to their destroyed house to pick mallow and chamomile from their garden so they could at least eat something. Now that Israel have resumed their bombing, they also invaded their house by land, occupying it. This is a tragedy, as they cannot go back to their house to take care of the remaining trees, collect medicinal plants to eat or to just be there, in their place, their land, where their memories are. These have provoked great sadness and despair for the whole family.

They are living in constant panic and sleep deprivation because of the constant shootings and bombings they are subjected now that Israel have resumed their genocide on the Palestinean people.

On the worst, the heavy rains flooded their tent last week, leaving them in extremely hard conditions because of the cold and being wet. As they dont have where to go, they had to stay in the flooded tent.

Little Zain is suffering of malnutrition as they are only eating bread, sometimes.

The first transfer of this campaing arrived yesterday to Hossam and he is planning to use it to find flour and fix the tent.

Please keep supporting Hossam and this family as much as you can. All help in these cruel times.

CAMPAING

I have become very close to Hossam, a plant and rose lover who was a medical engineer student, with whom we have been in contact for over a year, and through whom I have personally been able to understand a little of the magnitude of the disaster, loss and brutality they are experiencing in Gaza.

Hossam has been introducing me to his family, with whom we communicate through Abu, my horse, who makes them smile in the midst of this tragedy. Zain, the youngest member of the family, who has been suffering from malnutrition for the last two years.

The Qudaih family has lost everything. Everything. They bombed your house, they killed the sheep they were tending, the orchard of fruit trees. Their house is too close to the border to even camp there, since the border was illegally advanced 1 km during 2024 and they are being shot at.

On the other hand, they had a very old olive tree field, which was totally destroyed by bombs. They are now staying there, and have kindly opened the place so that other families can put up their tents. The Qudaih have been displaced multiple times since 2023, even sleeping in the street. They have lost absolutely every source of income, so their only way to eat these days and subsist on the basics is this campaign.

They have lost many loved ones including friends, cousins, teachers and family. Hossam, with whom I spoke, is in charge of supporting his entire family, and is under unimaginable psychological pressure.

The family needs continued support. The only tent they have that they managed to buy with the campaing was destroyed by the strong winter winds, they do not have enough blankets for the whole family since they are extremely expensive and they are very cold, and the bag of flour, if it can be found, is approximately 300 USD.

This campaign goes directly to help Hossam, who is the supporter of the family, so he can buy the most basic things they need, as survivors of this horrible genocide televised by the victims themselves, in front of the eyes of the whole world.

For love and humanity, donate what you can.
