UPDATE 1/09/19-Thank you all for your help. Without it we may not have been able to go forward with a brain scan and spinal tap and the thousands of dollars in medical expenses. We now know Hoover has auto-immune encephalitis. Tests confirmed nothing viral or bacterial and he responds to steroids which means his body is attacking his brain. He has better days than others. We will probably have to switch gears with his treatment for a good prognosis. I would like to do as much as I can for him but will never let him suffer. This is something that won’t go away. We have a sad and worried life. him and us. Help is appreciated and or just moral support at this point as his pet insurance is capped out and the policy just renewed in October. Can’t get new insurance because they won’t cover anything pre-existing. He’s 6 years old and has a lot of spirit and fight. Help us win the battle. ♥️
Hello everyone. It is with much anxiety and sadness that I come to ask for help. My beloved and your beloved Hoover has not been feeling very good at all. In fact, he’s lost his howl that we all love because of a suspected middle ear issue. He’s been on steroids and anitbiotocs and has had a ton of tests done but his ears are extremely painful and his balance is off. He tried to bark today at his Aunt Gabby and fell to the ground in pain. He needs to have an MRI of his head and ears. This costs a LOT of money, and then god willing we don’t find a tumor up there. But we don’t know what we are going to find, and whatever it is will most likely require some sort of surgery or procedure. I do have pet insurance and they do pay me back 90% but they only pay 5k a year and after this MRI and the other tests we are going to be right about there, and I need to make sure that whatever can be done will be done to get my Hoover back and howling again. I know many of you love him and I’m not asking for a lot. The reason these things work is because if everyone I knew or read this chipped in just $5 I would meet my goal. Whatever doesn’t get used I will gladly give right back to all of you. Please share and please help me get that howlin’ hound back to okay because he’s a survivor of heartworm treatment, being shot with bee-bees and mushroom pellets, IBD, hunger and neglect before he was saved, and he’s the sweetest boy and he is my heart. So do it for me too. :) And prayers please that there is no tumor. Thank you all in advance
