<div>After years of searching and hoping, I finally found my brother again, only to learn that he had

<div>passed away.

<div>For nearly a decade, I had not seen him. He had been living homeless in Stockton, California,
</div>
<div>struggling through hardships while still hoping to one day make it back home to Quincy to reunite
</div>
<div>with his children and family.
</div>
<div>On May 17th, he was taken to the hospital after suffering a devastating gunshot injury. He passed
</div>
<div>away on May 21st, his birthday. That was also the day I received the heartbreaking call and finally
</div>
<div>got my brother back after all these years.
</div>
<div>No family should ever have to experience something like this.
</div>
<div>Right now, we are trying to give him the dignity, peace, and memorial he deserves. Unfortunately,
</div>
<div>neither his father nor I are financially prepared for the unexpected funeral and cremation
</div>
<div>expenses. We are asking for help so we can bring our family together, honor his life properly, and
</div>
<div>allow his children the opportunity to say goodbye to their father.
</div>
<div>Our immediate goal is to help cover:

<div>my best friend, and someone who deserved another chance at life.

<div>Losing him after years apart has been incredibly painful, but being able to lay him to rest with

<div>dignity would bring our family some peace and closure during this heartbreaking time.
