<div>Irma Pavon was the heart of our home. She lived with me, my parents, and my brothers, always offering to help in any way she could. Whether it was making us food or doing our laundry, or being a listening ear Irma was always there, quietly taking care of the little things that made our days easier. She was my dad’s mother, and she meant so much to everyone around her. Her kindness and willingness to help others touched everyone she met.

<div> Her passing was very unexpected. She had been sick for about a week with what seemed like a cold, but then one day she suddenly couldn’t breathe and collapsed as she was heading to the bathroom. We called 911 right away, and the paramedics did everything they could—they performed CPR, used defibrillators, and even gave her a shot to try to revive her. Sadly, nothing worked, and we lost her that day. Our family is spread out across New York and California, and everyone wants to come together to say goodbye, but the costs of holding a viewing and service are more than we can manage on our own.

<div> We are raising funds to help cover the funeral home expenses and to hold a service where Irma’s loved ones can gather and honor her memory. <div> Irma Pavon era el corazón de nuestro hogar. Vivía conmigo, mis padres y mis hermanos, siempre ofreciéndose a ayudar en lo que pudiera. Ya fuera preparándonos comida o lavando nuestra ropa, Irma siempre estaba ahí, cuidando silenciosamente de las pequeñas cosas que hacían nuestros días más fáciles. Era la madre de mi papá y significaba mucho para todos a su alrededor. Su amabilidad y disposición para ayudar a los demás tocó a todos los que la conocieron.

<div> Su partida fue muy inesperada. Estuvo enferma aproximadamente una semana con lo que parecía un resfriado, pero un día de repente no pudo respirar y se desmayó cuando iba al baño. Llamamos al 911 de inmediato y los paramédicos hicieron todo lo posible: le dieron RCP, usaron desfibriladores e incluso le administraron una inyección para intentar revivirla. Lamentablemente, nada funcionó y la perdimos ese día. Nuestra familia está repartida entre Nueva York y California, y todos quieren reunirse para despedirse, pero los costos de realizar un velorio y servicio son más de lo que podemos manejar solos.

<div> Estamos recaudando fondos para ayudar a cubrir los gastos de la funeraria y para realizar un servicio donde los seres queridos de Irma puedan reunirse y honrar su memoria.
