Help Honduras for Hurricane Eta

Donation protected

Hurricanes Eta and Iota pummeled Honduras with torrential rain on Thursday, Nov. 5, and Monday, Nov. 16, triggering major floods and landslides in Central America, reportedly killing dozens of people and stranding dozens of fishers in the Atlantic. Reconstruction will cost more than 10 billion dollars, setting the country back 22 years. Six out of 10 people were already in poverty before the hurricanes and the pandemic. More than 50,000 houses and a hundred bridges were destroyed. The majority of the damage occurred in the Sula Valley, where most of the economic industry is located. More than 50% of Central America's economy originates from this valley.

We are raising funds to help the people of Honduras who lost everything. The team helping to organize this relief is comprised of:

- Ana Maria Ramirez Sawyer
- Leida Javier
- Evelyn Monterrosa
- Juan Torres
- Frank Barragan
- Yolany Lizzeth Lagos Ortiz
- Silvia Verdial
- Bryan Fuenmayor
- and others.

Samsung will match up to $2,000 if we reach $5,000. We will then send the funds to the Catholic Relief Fund, an approved non-profit by Samsung.
