Fighting for CPS Reform – Protecting Families from Unverified Allegations and Defending Due Process
My name is Michael J. Smith, an honorably discharged United States Marine Corps veteran (Semper Fidelis—Always Faithful). Today, I am fighting a different battle—one rooted in serious concerns about how families can be affected by unverified allegations and a lack of full and fair investigation. When due process is overlooked, the protections guaranteed under the 14th Amendment begin to lose their meaning—not just for my family, but for any family.
CPS has falsely made accusations involving my grandchildren even though we have video proof that the incident did not occur. CPS said that they were too busy to do a proper investigation. This destroying a family. We are prepared to take this to whatever level we need to need to , to clear our families name and make sure that it doesn’t happen to another family.
