My name is Brittney Hoad, daughter of Lincoln Hoad

My father Lincoln Hoad was recently diagnosed with ATC - Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer, Lincoln is a former high school teacher at St Mary's Catholic College and now a teacher at Babinda State School.  Cairns region would know my father from his younger days at Jack the slasher and then as a taxi driver for #72 with his wife and my mother Louise.  

Lincoln is a man who has a passion for his family, teaching and technology, so many people would know him as high driven and always there for those around him and right now i'm asking everyone to help him and my mother pay for doctors fees, treatment and surgeries. 

ATC - Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer.
Anaplastic thyroid cancer is one of the fastest growing and most aggressive of all cancers. It is also known as undifferentiated thyroid cancer because the cells do not look or behave like typical thyroid cells. The cause of anaplastic thyroid cancer is unknown, however, in some cases it arises in the setting of differentiated thyroid cancers such as papillary or follicular thyroid cancers. While overall survival statistics are discouraging – with an average survival rate of 6 months and approximately 1 in 5 alive after 12 months – it is important to note that there are long-term survivors.
